Edelweise Aldasoro
Edelweiss is a qualified medical doctor specialising in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. As a clinician and researcher, she has worked on complex conditions in the areas of global health and neglected tropical diseases, rare diseases, multi-morbidity, and ageing.
She joined the International Foundation for Integrated Care in 2018 to contribute to creating evidence and adopting integrated care. She is involved in a number of research and evaluation projects looking at innovative solutions to deliver person-centred integrated care.
As the Head of the Integrated Care Academy, she supports the education and training activities at the Foundation to enhance people's understanding and capacity for integrated care, enabling them to adapt global knowledge to local contexts. She is also one of the editors-in-chief of the International Journal of Integrated Care (IJIC).
